Studio under construction. Opening date to be announced.

The Work

Selected sets from Kazani’s Instagram. Every picture says what it is: work on clients, her own nails, sample tips or a product demonstration.

Quiet Statements

Sheer colour, a clean line, one small detail. The understated sets get the same care as the loud ones.

Texture & Detail

Tortoiseshell built in translucent layers, lace foil, and droplets that stand up off the nail.

Light & Reflection

Magnetic cat-eye, chrome and water-drop gel: finishes that hold a line of light and move it as the hand moves.

For those who notice the details.

A sheer nude and a full tortoiseshell are built the same way: shape first, then colour, texture and finish. Understated sets and expressive ones alike.

Shape

Look down the length of a nail and you see its C-curve, the arch from one side wall to the other. On this square set it runs deep and even, so the chrome edges hold light along their whole length.

Colour

Jelly tortoiseshell is colour you can see into. Ruby and deep brown sit in layers, so light passes through the nail instead of stopping at a flat surface.

Texture

Brown lace foil pressed into sticky gel over sheer nude and copper chrome. Pattern with real depth, worked out first on sample tips.

Finish

Cat-eye under raised drop gel. The magnetic shimmer shifts as the hand turns, while every droplet keeps a highlight of its own.

Kazani Dunn in a white tank top, resting her chin on her hand, her tattooed forearm and nails in view.

Two islands. One evolving vision.

Kazani began her nail journey in Grenada, West Indies. After moving to Jamaica, the next chapter is taking shape on the North Coast: a studio created around her distinctive approach to nail artistry.

Online she calls herself “your nail inspiration bestie”, and her posts read that way. She shares what she used, how a finish was built, the shade she can’t stop thinking about, and the occasional plea to leave your cuticles alone.

Her ambition for the studio: a destination for people who connect with her style and want a considered, expressive nail experience.

Care is part of the craft.

Kazani teaches as she works. A post she keeps pinned asks new clients not to “clean up” their cuticles before an appointment, because cutting at home usually reaches the living skin around the nail, and sore or inflamed skin limits what she can do.

“Unless you are trained or a manicurist, PLEASE put the nippers down.”

Kazani, on Instagram

What she suggests instead

  • Soften the cuticle with a cuticle softener, then lift it gently with a cuticle pusher.
  • Keep cuticles hydrated with an oil, such as sweet almond oil.
  • Leave the rest to the appointment.

Everyday care tips from her posts, not medical advice. Skin that is sore, swollen or infected needs a health professional before any nail service.

Kazani’s pinned Instagram post, a pale pink card titled Reminder, Dear New Clients: please do not attempt to clean up your cuticle area before coming to her; cutting the proximal nail fold makes her job harder and can cause inflammation or infection. Trust needs to be given to her before deciding she wouldn’t know how to do something she is trained in. Okay!
